What is the Friends Club
In addition to hosting national and international conferences, the Institute offers an exclusive internal forum—the ICPA Friends Club. This platform is open to the entire ICPA community at no cost, including prospective trainees, psychology students, and individuals from allied mental health fields.
The Friends Club provides a space for mutual sharing, addressing questions, uncertainties, and topics of clinical significance. These meetings often focus on the interpersonal challenges of therapeutic practice, examined through the lens of the therapist's own subjectivity.
What makes these gatherings particularly engaging is their relaxed and supportive environment. Beyond clinical discussions, the meetings emphasize relationship-building, navigating potential challenges, and exploring the multifaceted nature of each participant’s personality. The Friends Club serves as a space for growth, connection, and intellectual exploration within a friendly, inclusive atmosphere.
